Look at my city
The second edition of Rencontres continue carried on with the project Regard sur ma ville (A Look at My Town) begun in 2010, whose focus is photo-reporting. Two workshops were offered to primary- and secondary-school teachers at different locations on the peninsula by a professional photographer, and each class was then assigned a photo report on its own town according to a perspective chosen with the photographer’s help.
This is an approach that fosters the participation of youngsters in an artistic project while providing them with the opportunity of expressing their point of view by way of the photo. The photographs will be assembled into mosaics that will each be exhibited in the young people’s respective municipalities during the 2012 Rencontres.
